THE PROBLEM

Why this programme exists

Every year, over 1.7 million graduates leave Nigerian universities. More than half enter the workforce lacking the skills employers say they need. Most of them were never confused because they were not smart enough. They were confused because no one gave them a system.

A degree tells you what you studied. It does not tell you who you are, what you are building toward, or how to get there. CRI does.

THE PROGRAMME

6 weeks. 4 stages. One clear direction.

Learn

Understand yourself through a RIASEC-based career assessment. Know your strengths, your working style, and the career clusters that fit you. Stop guessing; start from evidence.

Practice

Identify your skill gaps and commit to building something. A project, a skill, an output. Something you can point to. This is how you create experience before you have experience.

Volunteer

Get in the room by giving value. Find a real opportunity to contribute in your chosen direction and make your first outreach. One email sent is worth more than a hundred plans.

Apply

Build a career narrative and update how you present yourself. LinkedIn, your pitch, your story. By the time you are here, you are applying from a position of clarity, not desperation.

WHO IT'S FOR

Is this for you?

This programme is for Nigerian university students in 100 to 400 level who feel unclear about what to do with their degree. If you have ever said “I do not know what I want to do with my life,” this was built for you.

You do not need to have it figured out. You just need to be willing to do the work.

Not the right fit: If you are already working in your chosen field, or if you are looking for a job placement programme, this is not that. CRI builds the foundation. What you do with it is up to you.

Common questions

Yes. CRI is a free programme, fully funded by LightHouse Venture Studio.

No. Cohort 1 is open to students from any Nigerian university.

One live session per week (90 minutes), plus roughly 1 to 2 hours of Trailr tasks between sessions. About 3 hours per week total.

Trailr is LightHouse Venture Studio's career navigation platform, previously known as Career Compass. It provides a personalised trail of tasks and guidance based on your RIASEC assessment results. All CRI participants get access as part of the programme.

Your Trailr access continues. The programme ends; the work does not. You will have a trail of ongoing tasks and milestones to keep building after the cohort closes.
